The menu
Daging Rendag is stewed beef in Sumatran style with colored prawn crackers. Ayam Bakar consists of hot grilled chicken thigh and is served with peanut sauce and peanut crumble. Rendang Nangka is made from slowly cooked jackfruit, marinated in a rendang bombu and served with colored prawn crackers.
Atjar is a sweet-sour side dish. Sambal Goreng Telor is a true classic. The dish is made of egg in a spicy and creamy coconut sauce and with fresh chives. Sambal Goreng Kentang are crunchy potato sticks with caramel.
Udang Peteh are fried shrimp in a coconut sauce. Ikan Curry is a delicious dish with freshly baked cod in a creamy curry sauce, served with a spring roll crumble.
Blado Kentang are fried potatoes. The potatoes are fried in a spicy sambal sauce and served with a juniper berry crisp. Gado Gado is made with vegetables and served with a creamy peanut sauce. Tumis Tahu Tempeh is a dish of stir-fried tempeh and tofu with a crumble of crispy tempeh. Sayour Pedeh is made of fried vegetables in roasted pepper sauce, the dish is finished with a crispy wonton crumble
Nasi goreng is fried white rice with bird crumble. Peralatan Makan is a dish made from prawn crackers, emping and peanut sauce. Nasi Putih is steamed white rice with a casava crumble.
About Ron Gastrobar
Ron Blaauw, owner and chef of Ron Gastrobar At Home, started cooking at an early age. When he was 16 years old, he felt that a choice had to be made for the future. This brought him to culinary school: "Eventually it became Amsterdam, which I always had in mind. Away from Hoorn, where I was born and raised. This was it. I discovered that you could make an apple pie from an apple and salmon gravlax. That you could be creative, that you could surprise people, that you could make people happy." Ron is now an exclusive partner and available on SOUS.
