About Marc Cooks
My name is Marc Somers, a private chef from Roermond with over 17 years of experience in the kitchen. From an early age, I have been fascinated by cooking—a creative process in which I can fully express myself. After internships in renowned restaurants and years of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, I decided to travel the world in 2011. From resorts in Australia to street food in Asia and kitchens in South America, I found inspiration everywhere. In Queenstown, New Zealand, I worked in the hospitality industry and further developed my love for wine, which ultimately led to me obtaining my WSET 3 diploma. Back in Limburg, I worked on various hospitality concepts and now combine local ingredients with global influences. In 2019, I founded Marc Kookt. As a private chef, I provide tailor-made dinners and culinary events—at your home or on location, in Limburg and beyond. Whether it's an intimate dinner, a wedding, or a big party, I'm happy to help you create an unforgettable experience.

Our chefs work throughout the Netherlands. Whether you live in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam or a smaller village - we are looking for a chef who suits you and can cook at your home.
No, you are not immediately tied to your reservation. In most cases you can cancel free of charge up to seven days in advance; After that, cancellation costs may apply.
The price depends on chef, menu, extras and the number of guests. You always get a personal proposal in advance with the total costs based on your wishes.
You can usually cancel for free until about seven days before the date. If canceled afterwards, costs can be charged. Adjustments are usually possible if they are passed on in time. Always tune this in advance.
Crockery, pans and possibly glassware and table decoration can be cared for or rented, you coordinate this with the chef. Cleaning up and cleaning are always included, just like the service during dinner.
