Marc Cooks
My name is Marc Somers, a private chef from Roermond with over 17 years of experience in the kitchen. From an early age, I have been fascinated by cooking—a creative process in which I can fully express myself. After internships in renowned restaurants and years of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, I decided to travel the world in 2011. From resorts in Australia to street food in Asia and kitchens in South America, I found inspiration everywhere.
In Queenstown, New Zealand, I worked in the hospitality industry and further developed my love for wine, which ultimately led to me obtaining my WSET 3 diploma. Back in Limburg, I worked on various hospitality concepts and now combine local ingredients with global influences.
In 2019, I founded Marc Kookt. As a private chef, I provide tailor-made dinners and culinary events—at your home or on location, in Limburg and beyond. Whether it's an intimate dinner, a wedding, or a big party, I'm happy to help you create an unforgettable experience.
