Jullie starten met een eerste amuse. Pecel is een klassiek Javaans gerecht. Het heeft in de basis iets weg van gado gado, maar de Pecelcrème die in deze bonbon gaat, is gemaakt van rauwe ingrediënten. En dat geeft een extra smaakkick. Je proeft eerst het zoet van de chocolade, daarna volgt een kruidige en pittige sensatie. Amuse twee is een gestoomd broodje om te delen. Maak het extra spannend door een blinddoek te dragen en elkaar te voeren. En daag elkaar uit om extra sambal toe te voegen. It’s time to get spicy!
Geniet van steak tartaar, een echte klassieker. De Rozario’s variant voegt wat meer warmte, diepgang en structuur toe. Want in Helmond kleuren we graag net iets buiten de lijntjes. The heat is on! (Inclusief 10 gram kaviaar van House of Caviar)
Ook de strandkrabbensoep is heerlijk gelaagd dankzij onder andere de toevoeging van Hollandse garnalen. Wisten jullie dat de Hollandse garnaal een bekend afrodisiacum is vanwege zijn hoge zinkgehalte? Dit is belangrijk voor de seksuele lust en vruchtbaarheid. Bedank ons later maar…
En door naar het hoofdgerecht: rendang. Dit gerecht heeft een combinatie van koud en warm; prettig om te ondergaan en om terug te vinden in ons eten. Het is een pittig gerecht met een tropische afdronk van kokos en citroengras. Een prachtige en spannende combinatie!
Jullie sluiten af met tiramiso. Italië meets Jermain de Rozario; ik breng dit dessert op smaak met miso. De letterlijke betekenis van het gerecht tiramisu is: ‘Trek mij omhoog’. Een perfecte afsluiting van een bijzonder spannende culinaire Valentijnsavond thuis!

Over Jermain de Rozario
Jermain de Rozario heeft sinds 2019 een Michelinster met zijn Restaurant De Rozario in Helmond. Hij kookt Aziatisch, met vooral Indonesië als inspiratiebron. Deze chef schreef het boek: "Lotus" – van vuilnisman tot sterrenchef, waarin hij goudeerlijk is over de ups en downs in zijn leven. Een inspirerend verhaal voor vakgenoten en gasten. De rendang en het gestoomde broodje zijn twee van zijn signatuur gerechten. En deze Valentijnsdag kun jij daar thuis van genieten.
