Over Colibrí Cocina Mexicana
Mijn naam is Max Wandt, Chef en eigenaar van Colibrí Cocina Mexicana. Op mijn 14e begon ik in de horeca, sindsdien ben ik nooit meer weggegaan. Na een paar jaar aan bijbaantjes, begon ik aan de koksopleiding. Daar kwam ik er snel achter dat ik uiteindelijk iets voor mijzelf wilde beginnen. In 2020 reisde ik naar Mexico en leerde van alles over de Mexicaanse keuken. In het restaurant waar ik werkte wisten de chefs de authentieke Mexicaanse smaken feilloos met elkaar te combineren. Ik voelde de passie voor het eten en ik wist: dit moet ik meenemen naar Nederland. Ik kwam terug naar Arnhem om daar mijn eigen restaurant te openen. In april 2023 opende Colibrí Cocina Mexicana haar deuren. Wij zijn een modern Mexicaans restaurant met de focus op kwaliteit. Alles wat wij serveren is zelf in huis gemaakt. Bij Colibrí combineren we de echte smaken van Mexico met moderne kooktechnieken.
