Over Dik & Schil
Jaarlijks wordt meer dan één derde van al het voedsel dat we produceren weggegooid. Enorm zonde omdat ons ‘afval’ nog veel smaak en voedingstoffen bevat. Uit deze ergernis ontstond Dik&Schil. Wij strijden tegen voedselverspilling door het maken van sterke drank op basis van restproducten.
In deze Circular gin vind je een boeket van overgebleven ingrediënten. We combineerden de frisse sinaasappelsmaak van overgebleven sinaasappelschillen met aromatische groene shishobladeren, de warme tonen van kardemombladeren en de citrussmaak van kaffirlimoenblaadjes. Een kruidengin met warme citrustonen en een zachte afdronk. Alle plantaardige ingrediënten zijn afkomstig van Koppert Cress. We gebruiken de overtollige versieringen van hun normale producties, zodat ze niet verloren gaan. Niet mooi genoeg om te verkopen, maar vol van smaak.

Of course you have to go into the kitchen yourself to do the minimum of preparation, but it is also nice that you can make these beautiful creations on the plate yourself. Recommended!”
