Over Julius Jaspers
Julius Jaspers, leeuw uit 1962, is behalve chef-entrepeneur en kookboeken-auteur in zijn vrije tijd drakentemmer. Begonnen in eetcafé’tjes in Amsterdam wordt hij in 1981 de jongste traiteur van Nederland. Na 2 eetwinkels en een restaurant en 20 jaar een groothandel en winkels in kookspulletjes (Studio Bazar) gooit hij in 2010 het roer om, stapt uit de handel en keert hij terug in de wereld van eten en drinken. Sindsdien is hij mede-eigenaar van Julius bar&grill en Aziatische streetfoodrestaurants Happyhappyjoyjoy (2013 tot 2019), terwijl hij in diezelfde tijd 310 afleveringen van Topchef presenteerde waarna nog een seizoen Masterchef. Sinds 2005 schrijft Julius kook- en BBQ-boeken, ‘as we speak’ is hij bezig aan zijn 27ste boek.
